Ronald Sims Memorial Scholarship

The brothers of Omicron Phi Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. are pleased to make available the Ronald W. Sims Memorial Scholarship to a deserving male senior student wishing to continue his education. The scholarship is a one-time award of one thousand dollars ($1000.00) given in honor of the late Ronald W. Sims, a noted and devoted educator in Metropolitan Atlanta.

The recipient of this award will be a male high school senior who has at least a 2.8 GPA and meets the following minimum requirements: 500 Math, 500 Critical Reading and 500 Writing on the SAT or 18 English and 16 Math on the ACT. The individual selected will be interviewed and must demonstrate a strong desire to succeed and become a positive contributor to our community.

Deadline

To be considered for this scholarship, you must submit this application on or before Friday, April 11th, 2025.

*No more than one scholarship will be awarded to the same student.

Henry Montgomery Scholarship

The brothers of Omicron Phi Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. are pleased to make available the Major (Ret.) Henry Montgomery Scholarship to a deserving male JROTC senior student wishing to continue his education. The scholarship is a one-time award of one thousand dollars ($1000.00) given in honor of the late Henry E. Montgomery, a noted and devoted educator and JROTC instructor in Metropolitan Atlanta.

The recipient of this award will be a JROTC male high school senior who has at least a 2.8 GPA and meets the following minimum requirements: 500 Math, 500 Critical Reading and 500 Writing on the SAT or 18 English and 16 Math on the ACT. In addition, the student must have participated in JROTC at his school. The individual selected will be interviewed and must demonstrate a strong desire to succeed and become a positive contributor to our community.

Omicron Phi Lambda Book Scholarship

The Omicron Phi Lambda Book Scholarship was created to assist a brother of the Nu Mu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. with the high cost of textbooks & study materials. Scholarships are open to Alpha brothers enrolled in the undergraduate program at Georgia Tech Institute of Technology, who plans to be a fulltime student in the following year. Two awards are made annually. Students may reapply each academic year.

Application Process
Applicants must send:
• A completed application and Resume
• A college transcript of grades (both official & unofficial accepted)
• Applications must be received by April 12, 2025

Omicron Phi Lambda Legacy Scholarship

The Omicron Phi Lambda Legacy Scholarship was created to assist the children of financial brothers in the Omicron Phi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. with the high cost of textbooks & study materials. Scholarships are open to Legacies of brothers in the Omicron Phi Lambda Chapter who plan to be a full-time student at a college or university in the following school year. Various awards made annually.

• Applications must be received by April 12, 2025
